We are pleased to announce our first ever STEAM-3D Maker Lab Summer Camp! During the third week in July, our campers will learn about plants and emerging technologies, like the Internet of Things (IoT). The camp will involve discovering plants, best practices for gardens, designing self-sustaining “smart” plants, and exploring other fun and engaging technologies in our Maker Lab.
The camp will run from July 15th to 19th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at a cost of $150 (plus HST) per child, with before- and after-care offered for an additional fee of $50. We will provide free pizza lunch on Friday, a camp t-shirt, snacks, and a take-home tech kit!
Students currently enrolled in grades 4 through 9 are welcome to register. Parents, please email uoitsteam3D@gmail.com for more information or click here to register!
As with previous camps, campers will have access to a variety of technologies to discover, including 3D Printing, circuit-building (paper, fabric, or other), coding, robotics, augmented & virtual reality, and more! To support the theme of IoT and to build “smart” plants/gardens, our featured technologies include:
With these tools, students will be able to dream big and create innovative smart designs with sensors, processors, actions, and reactions!
