Coding with MakeCode

On April 9th, 2020, the STEAM-3D Maker Lab hosted a synchronous online session on coding with MakeCode (for micro:bit). We thank those of you who were able to attend, and hope you found value in the session. As promised, below are the resources from that session.

Please continue to follow our social media handles (@steam3Dmakerlab on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram) for information on subsequent sessions as we review feedback for areas of support needed from our session participants and and other connections in education. If you have identified an area of support needed in your own transition to teaching online, please send us an email at uoitsteam3D@gmail.com. We would love to offer future sessions on areas where it’s needed the most.

Session Slides:

If you weren’t able to grab a copy of the slides during the session today, please see the embedded player below. To see any of the speaker notes that have been included for you (including helpful links, other resources, etc.), click on the gear icon and open speaker notes:

Session Recording:

As mentioned, we have decided to make recordings of our live sessions available for those who were unable to register or attend on the day of a session. Registration for our sessions is kept intentionally low to encourage collaboration, conversation, and hands-on experience with the tools we’re exploring. Consent was obtained prior to recording these sessions and making them available.
